Setting Up Seeka on Wix

A quick walkthrough for adding Seeka tracking to your Wix website.

Wix sites work great with Seeka, and the setup only takes a couple of minutes. You'll paste a short tracking script into Wix's Custom Code settings, and Seeka takes care of the rest from there.

Once connected, all page views are tracked automatically. You can also set up event tracking for things like form submissions, clicks, and other visitor interactions.

Step 1: Get your Seeka script

  1. In Seeka, go to Apps

  2. Find Wix and click Connect

  3. Click Copy script tag to copy your unique tracking script

Step 2: Add the script to your Wix site

  1. Log in to your Wix account at wix.com

  2. Go to Settings in the left sidebar

  3. Scroll down to the Advanced section

  4. Click Custom Code

  5. Click + Add Custom Code

  6. Paste the copied script into the code box

  7. Name it Seeka Tracking (or anything you like)

  8. Under Add Code to Pages, select All pages

  9. Under Place Code in, select Head

  10. Click Apply

Step 3: Add event tracking

Good news, page views are already being captured. No setup required for those.

If you'd also like to track form submissions, button clicks, or other on-page actions, the Express Setup Tool makes it easy:

  1. In the Seeka setup screen, paste your website URL into the field

  2. Click Launch Express Setup Tool

  3. Browse through your site and set up the events you want to track

  4. Every event goes live instantly as you create it

Note: You'll need to be logged into Seeka to set up events - this step can't be done by someone without access to your account.

Step 4: Check that it's all working

Seeka's diagnostic streamer lets you watch your events fire in real time:

  1. Pop in any page URL from your site and click Launch diagnostic

  2. Click around your site and trigger your events

  3. Each event shows up live in the streamer, along with the data it captured and where it was delivered

You can come back to the diagnostic streamer anytime from Settings → Events → Diagnostics.

Troubleshooting

  • Script not firing? Make sure you selected Head under "Place Code in" and All pages under "Add Code to Pages".

  • Can't find Custom Code? In the Wix dashboard, go to Settings → scroll down to Advanced → Custom Code. If you don't see it, make sure you're on a Wix Premium plan.
