Connecting Microsoft Clarity to Seeka

Connect Microsoft Clarity to Seeka to feed Clarity's smart events and see exactly how visitors behave on your site.

Microsoft Clarity is a free heatmap and session recording tool. It shows you where visitors click, how far they scroll, and lets you replay real sessions.

Connecting Clarity to Seeka feeds Clarity's smart events and powers cross-domain, device and session tracking, so you get the "why" behind your numbers: Seeka tells you what converted, Clarity shows you how people behaved on the way there.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • A Microsoft Clarity account (free at clarity.microsoft.com) with a project created for your site

  • Access to your Seeka account

Connect Microsoft Clarity

Step 1 - Find your Clarity Project ID

  1. Log in to Microsoft Clarity

  2. Select your project

  3. Go to Settings > Overview - your Project ID is shown there

Step 2 - Connect in Seeka

  1. Log in to your Seeka account

  2. In the left-hand menu, click Apps

  3. Search Clarity

  4. Click Connect

  5. Paste your Clarity Project Id into the field

  6. Tick both checkboxes to accept Clarity's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and Seeka's Terms of Service

  7. Click Connect

💡 Connecting grants Clarity browser plugin permission on your Seeka brand. Seeka handles loading Clarity across your connected sites, so there's no separate tag to install.

Confirming it's working

  1. Visit your live site to generate a session

  2. In Clarity, check the Dashboard for incoming sessions - recordings and heatmaps typically start appearing within a couple of hours

Troubleshooting common issues

No sessions appearing in Clarity

  1. Double-check the Project Id in Seeka matches the project in your Clarity account - a wrong or partial ID is the most common cause.

  2. Confirm Seeka itself is installed and firing on your site (check for View Page events in your Seeka dashboard). If Seeka isn't loading, Clarity won't either.

  3. Allow a couple of hours - Clarity processes sessions in batches rather than in real time.

Sessions are double-counting in Clarity

If you previously installed Clarity's own tag directly on your site, remove it once Clarity is connected through Seeka - running both will double-count sessions in your Clarity dashboard.

If you've worked through the above and are still stuck, start a chat with us and include your site URL and Clarity Project Id.
